FOUNDING YEARS.  Founded in 1955, JLC focused its first 35 years on multi-family development and management. The initial years involved development of apartment communities and commercial office buildings in North Atlanta. The 1980’s brought some expansion into Hotels, Class A Office Buildings and Retail.

EARLY YEARS.  In 1990, Julian LeCraw, Sr. retired and Julian LeCraw, Jr. became the Company’s CEO. Michael Tompkins, Lee Walker and Steve Broome joined as partners in these formative years and together built the company into a multi-faceted real estate organization involving acquisitions, development, property management, construction, condominiums, value-add renovations and development of mixed-use properties.

EXPANSION YEARS.  Since 2000, JLC has expanded its footprint into the markets of Florida, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Louisiana, Alabama and Texas. Transactions have spanned acquisitions, developments, property management, construction, condominiums, value-add renovations and development of mixed-use properties. Under the leadership of Michael Tompkins, Lee Walker and Steve Broome, JLC Southeast is the primary operating company of JLC and is leading this expansion.
